WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has duly advertised for bids for
the Gattis School Road Corridor Enhancement Project, and
WHEREAS, while only one bid was received from Fencecrete America,
Inc . the City Council has determined that the bid is acceptable, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the bid of Fencecrete
America, Inc . , Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City a contract with Fencecrete America, Inc . for the
Gattis School Road Corridor Enhancement Project.
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of
the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the
public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and
the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted
upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas
Government Code, as amended.

ITEM: 9F2. Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Construction
Contract with Fencecrete America, Inc. for the Gattis School Road
Corridor Enhancement Project.

Justification:
The Contract with Fencecrete America, Inc. is for Construction Services for a long-life,
uniform type of fencing to replace existing fencing along residential lots abutting Gattis
School Road from Cushing Drive to Windy Park Drive.
Funding:
Cost: $207,271.75
Source of funds: General Self Financed Construction
Outside Resources:
Fisher Hagood, Inc.
Fencecrete America, Inc.
Background Information:
This project is part of a continuing program to aesthetically improve various City street
corridors. These improvements will enhance the visual appearance of the corridors by
replacing existing (typically wood) privacy fencing with a permanent, more durable concrete
fencing.
