SUBJECT: City Council Meeting - February 28, 2008
ITEM: *11C1. Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to issue a
purchase order to Southwest Solutions Group for additional shelving
systems for the new Police Department headquarters building.
Department: Police
Staff Person: Bryan Williams, Chief of Police
Justification:
When plans originally were drawn for shelving storage of police records and evidence for the
new police headquarters building, they did not consider longer-term growth in storage
needs. The proposed purchase would provide for the installation of high-density storage
shelving to maximize use the available space in Records and Evidence. Units would be
added to these shelving systems over time as the need arose. Other portions of this
purchase provide for the relocation of existing shelving of that nature, as well as for
changes in the configuration for juvenile records and storage of computer media. This
purchase would be a state cooperative purchase.

Cost: $19,453.56
