Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to the Agreement for Engineering Services with S.D. Kallman, L.P. for the design of a 12-inch water line from South Mays Street to Gattis School Road. Department: Water and Wastewater Utilities Staff Person: Tom Clark, Director Justification: This Supplemental Agreement Number 1 is for additional surveying and to re- design the Gattis School Road 12-inch Water Line. This is necessary to coordinate the proposed development of the Sweet Home Baptist Church Property and align the waterline with street right-of-away to allow better access for maintenance. With the realignment, the Sweet Home Baptist Church will donate the easements required for the line. Funding• Cost: $8,900.00 Source of funds: Capital Project Funds (Self-Financed Utility) Outside Resources: S.D. Kallman, L.P. Background Information• The Gattis School Road 12-inch Water Line will allow for more use of ground water from the Lake Creek pump station. This supplemental agreement will redesign the line to follow the proposed right-of-way alignment of the Surrey Drive extension through this development from Gattis School Road to School Days Lane. This change will increase the length of water line by approximately 800 linear feet. The property owner is donating the easement for the waterline.
