R-04-11-23-9F1 WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock wishes to release certain real property from its extraterritorial jurisdiction ("ETJ") , and relinquish all ETJ rights in said property to the City of Georgetown, and WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown wishes to release certain real property from its extraterritorial jurisdiction ("ETJ") , and relinquish all ETJ rights in said property to the City of Round Rock, and WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock wishes to enter into an Agreement Releasing and Accepting Extraterritorial Jurisdiction Property by and between the City of Round Rock, Texas and the City of Georgetown, Texas, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City said Agreement, a copy of same being attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein for all purposes. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was Adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended. That the City of Georgetown hereby agrees to release certain real property from its extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ), said property lying as shown on Exhibit `B" attached hereto and made a part hereof and incorporated herein. By so doing, the City of Georgetown hereby relinquishes all extraterritorial jurisdictional rights to the City of Round Rock. V. That the City of Round Rock hereby agrees to accept such above-described real property into its extraterritorial jurisdiction. VI. That the City of Georgetown hereby agrees that the effect of this agreement is to reduce the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Georgetown.
