Consider an ordinance annexing 0.812 acres of land located at the northwest corner of Old Settlers Boulevard and Red Bud Lane. (First Reading) Department: Planning and Community Development Staff Person: Jim Stendebach, Planning and Community Development Director Lee Heckman, Principal Planner Justification: This is a classic, if tiny, donut hole in the city limits. The tract of land, known as East Old Settlers Boulevard ROW, is a remnant sliver conveyed to the City of Round Rock in June 2006 as part of the Kiphen Road Project. The other portion of the parent tract, 5.959 acres, was annexed into the City on petition of the owner and zoned Local Commercial in August 2006. It is the City's desire to annex this tract in order to bring City owned rights-of-way into the city limits for maintenance, as well as provide for a more contiguous city boundary. Funding: Cost: N/A Source of funds: N/A Outside Resources: N/A Background Information: The tract of land is currently located within the City of Round Rock's ETJ in Williamson County and owned by the City of Round Rock.
