WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has duly advertised for bids
for the Bowman Park Development - Phase I Project, and
WHEREAS, Muniz Concrete & Contracting has submitted the lowest
responsible bid, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the bid of Muniz
Concrete & Contracting, Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS,
That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City a contract with Muniz Concrete & Contracting for
the Bowman Park Development - Phase I Project.
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice
of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to
the public as required by law at all times during which this
Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered
and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act,
Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended.

contract with Muniz Concrete & Contracting for the Bowman Park
Development — Phase 1 Project.

Justification: This project will consist of a 6' crushed granite trail loop, approximately''/,
mile in distance. This project also includes installation of a playground and
other standard park amenities.
Funding: $180,000.00
Cost: $116,811.50
Source of funds: 2001 G.O. Bonds, Park Development Fund
Outside Resources: Muniz Concrete & Contracting, Inc.
Background Information:
Bowman Park is approximately 10 acres, currently undeveloped. It is located north of Hwy 79,
surrounded on 3 sides by residential neighborhoods.
