(First Reading) Department: Planning and Community Development Staff Person: Jim Stendebach, Planning and Community Development Director Kim Jones, Round Rock Address Coordinator Justification: The City of Round Rock Planning Department is interested in designating the name Kenney Fort Boulevard to Arterial "A" in the near future. Prior to that designation, we must first rename the roadway that is currently known as Kenney Fort Trail. Funding: Cost: N/A Source of funds: N/A Outside Resources: N/A Background Information: According to the requirements of Round Rock City Council Resolution No. R -02-11-26-10C1, the following has been completed: On July 1, 2008, written notices were sent to the property owners of the land addressed to Kenney Fort Trail. Return envelopes and forms to be signed and notarized were provided to allow these owners to let the City know their feelings regarding the name change and their acceptance of an alternate address on South IH -35 or South Mays Street, as appropriate. The Address Coordinator has received all the property owners' returned forms agreeing to the name change. New addresses have been assigned to all property owners along that roadway as of September 12, 2008, so the City may move forward with the street name change. Public Comment: N/A
