WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has duly advertised for bids
for the Phase 1B Southwest Area Downtown Infrastructure Project, and
WHEREAS, BRH Garver Construction has submitted the lowest
responsible bid, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the bid of BRH
Garver Construction, Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS,
That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City a contract with BRH Garver Construction for the
Phase 1B Southwest Area Downtown Infrastructure Project.
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice
of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to
the public as required by law at all times during which this
Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered
and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act,
Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended.

This construction project includes water, storm water, dry utility infrastructure improvements
and ROW finishes for the area around the Southwest Downtown. Improvements will be
designed for sections of Brown, West Main, Bagdad, Florence, Harris and San Saba Streets.
Funding:
Cost: $3,121,260.00
Source of funds: Capital Project Funds (GO Bonds 2001)

Background Information:
At the November 18, 2008 bid opening, seven (7) bids were received by the City of Round Rock
for construction on the Southwest Downtown project. BRH Garver Construction submitted the
lowest, responsive base bid in the amount of $3,121,260.00.
