This Engineering Services Contract with AECOM Technical Services, Inc. to continue design and analysis work for Dam 101 resulting in 30% design plans. The preliminary design phase includes the remaining geotechnical investigation, additional environmental investigations, preliminary easement delineations, and 30% plans and construction estimates. This contract has finished major milestones; however, a date extension is necessary to continue design progress until the final design contract is negotiated. This Supplemental Contract will extend the contract time to April 30, 2018. Dam 101 is a joint project between the Upper Brushy Creek Water Control Improvement District (UBCWCID) and the City to substantially lessen the frequency and depth of flooding along Lake Creek, particularly in the Greater Round Rock West area. The UBCWCID and City signed an ILA that assigned responsibility for coordinating design, construction, and funding of Dam 101 to the City. The UBCWCID is contributing $6 Million to the project and will operate and maintain the dam when complete. Per the ILA, the City already received the initial payment of $2 Million.
