Justification:
Planning and Community Development
Jim Stendebach, Planning and Community Development Director
Section 11.502 (11) currently prohibits outdoor storage or overnight outdoor parking of tractor -trailers,
semi -trucks, semi -trailers or other vehicles having a gross vehicle weight of 17,000 pounds or more, not
including pick-up trucks or personal recreational equipment. In order to more effectively enforce the
parking of commercial vehicles on residential driveways and lots, the ordinance has been revised to
eliminate the references to "overnight" and "outdoor". The revision prohibits the parking and storage
of large vehicles on any residential driveway or lot at all times, with an exception for loading and
unloading.
