R-00-12-14-13C2 - 12/14/2000RESOLUTION NO. R -00-12-14-13C2 WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock previously requested the City of Austin to release from its extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) the territory identified on the map attached as Exhibit "A" to this Resolution, and WHEREAS, on October 26, 2000, the City of Austin adopted Resolution No. 001026-30 (a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "B") releasing said territory from its ETJ pursuant to Section 42.023 of the Texas Local Government Code, provided that the City of Round Rock accept such territory into its ETJ, and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept such territory into its ETJ, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, That the territory identified on the map attached as Exhibit "A" to this Resolution, a total of approximately 26.4 acres of land is hereby accepted into the City of Round Rock's ETJ under authority of Section 42.023, Texas Local Government Code and in response to Resolution 001026-30 of the City of Austin, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager or his designee is authorized and directed to revise the City of Round Rock's ETJ map to reflect the acceptance of said territory. Consider a resolution accepting approximately 26.404 acres of land released by the City of Austin into the City of Round Rock's extraterritorial jurisdiction. This property is located along RM 620 south of the Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District. The owners of the property, Tony Ltd. requested release from Austin's extraterritorial jurisdiction to request annexation by the Brushy Creek MUD and receive water and wastewater service from the MUD. Resource: Joe Vining, Planning Director History: The property is currently outside the Round Rock ETJ. Funding: N/A Cost: Source of Funds: Outside resources: N/A Impact: None.
