SYNOPSIS
ROBERT W. TAGGE
Born in July 1933 and raised in Des Plaines, Illinois. My family were early
settlers to the area and in June 1998 celebrated our 150`h family reunion.
I was educated in the local school system and graduated from Ripon College,
Ripon, Wisconsin, in 1955. In 1956 I was called to active military service as a 2Lt,
Field Artillery, U.S. Army. Over the course of my more than 22 years of active
military service I served in a variety of command and staff positions in the United
States, Germany, Vietnam, Thailand and Iran. My duties also required travel to many
other Asian and Middle Eastern countries. I hold a BA degree from Ripon College, am
a graduate of the Basic and Advanced Field Artillery Officer's Courses, U.S. Army
Command and General Staff College, U.S. Army Logistics Management School, the
U.S. Army Management School, and have taken numerous other military and civilian
educational courses.
Upon retirement in 1978 I chose to reside in Round Rock, Texas, where I
remain today. Active in a variety of volunteer activities, I have served on several
Round Rock City and school district bond committees. I served six years as chair of
the Williamson County Appraisal District Review Board, helped rewrite the RRISD
Site -Based Advisory Committee Guidelines, and was recently asked to serve on the
District Advisory Council.
Though I consider myself "retired", I actively participate in local volunteer
activities and am very involved with military organizations, primarily the 151 Cavalry
Division and the 77`h Artillery Associations and the Best Ranger Competition. I am
presently writing about my experiences in Vietnam and my association with the early
development of U.S. Army Airmobility.
Deobrah Hunt: Tax Assessor/Collector
Deborah Hunt was elected Williamson County tax assessor/collector in 1996 and took office
January 1, 1997, with 12 years prior experience as a tax assessor/collector. Ms. Hunt has a long
history of public service. She was appointed to fulfill terms as Justice of the Peace in 1994 and as
Williamson County Magistrate from 1995-1996.
Deborah Hunt earned her Registered Tax Assessor/Collector certification in 1986 and earned the
designation of Certified Tax Administrator in 1988. Ms. Hunt currently serves on the Texas
Association of Appraisal Districts (TAAD) and the Tax Assessor Collectors Association of Texas
(TACA) legislative committees. She also serves as chair to the Texas Department of
Transportation Liaison Committee for TACA. Former Governor George W. Bush appointed her to
the Board of Tax Professional Examiners in 1999, and she was appointed chair of that board in
2003 by Governor Rick Perry. Ms. Hunt is assisting with the development of a tax collection
educational program for the International Association of Assessing Officers of which she is a
member. In addition, she is a member of the Williamson County Investment Committee and an

cards for on-line payment of motor vehicle renewals and property taxes along with the use of the
eChecks for on-line payment of property taxes. She is well known throughout the state for serving
as a beta site for TxDOT to test upgrades and new systems. Her office is currently serving as a
development site for the newest property tax system in Texas which allows her to have significant
influence on how the system is written to be customer and user friendly.
