WHEREAS, Section 6.03(g) of the Property Tax Code provides for
the governing body of each taxing unit to nominate individuals for
each position to be filled on the Travis Central Appraisal District
Board of Directors, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Round Rock wishes to
nominate the following individual:
June Joan Kunkel
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
That the City Council of Round Rock hereby nominates the
individual stated above for the Travis Central Appraisal District
Board of Directors.
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice
of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to
the public as required by law at all times during which this
Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered
and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act,
Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended.

The board of directors is instrumental in developing and maintaining an appraisal district that is well
managed and fair to both individual tax payers and the entities that depend upon property tax revenue
to fund local government operations. Staff recommends appointing June J. Kunkel for another two year
term to the board.
