Final acceptance of the work shall be determined by the City with the recommendation of the Engineer ADDENDUM TO EXHIBIT B Engineering Services In conjunction with the services to be provided by the City, as described in Exhibit A, the Engineer shall provide the following additional engineering services: Details of the additional services performed include the following: Project Description The additional services for Wyoming Springs includes the design of a Tunnel to allow pedestrians to cross under Wyoming Springs Drive near the Fern Bluff Elementary School, and the inclusion of the Cloud Peak cross walk. Additional work includes revising the roadway plans, typical and cross-sections, project layout, intersection layout, revising drainage layouts and data sheets, prepare new tunnel drainage and illumination, preparing up to three (3) options analysis and ten retaining wall layouts; revise traffic control sheets, signals, roadway illumination, prepare tunnel layout, structural details, and revise quantities, project manual, and estimate. Also included are additional project coordination, administration, and quality control. The additional engineering services to be performed include the following: I. Project Management A. Prepare Monthly Progress Reports & Invoices B. Coordination/Meetings with CoRRIWil1iamson County C. Field Reconnaissance D. QA/QC for Submittals II. Roadway Design Controls A. The ENGINEER shall revise the grading. B. Revise the Typical Sections (3 Sheets) C. Revise the cross-section and cut/fill quantities. D. The ENGINEER shall revise the plan & profile sheets (2 sheets) to include the tunnel and other designs shown in this scope of services. E. The ENGINEER shall revise Intersections layouts III. Drainage A, The ENGINEER shall revise the drainage area map to include the tunnel drainage. B. The ENGINEER will perform necessary hydraulic computations for the design of this project and will prepare a Hydraulic Data Sheet for inclusion in the plans for bridge size structures. C. The ENGINEER will prepare drainage plans and details for the Pedestrian Tunnel, 1 D. The ENGINEER shall prepare hydrologic calculations associated with the tunnel storm sewer designs including drainage areas maps, run-off coefficients, etc. E. The ENGINEER shall prepare the design of the proposed storm sewer systems utilizing the WinStorm Design Software modeling system or GEOPAK Drainage. IV. Signing and Pavement Markings A. The ENGINEER will revise the signing and pavement marking and prepare plan sheets in accordance with TxMUTCD. B. The ENGINEER shall prepare a sign summary for all signs to be replaced or modified on the project. V. Traffic Signal Design A. The ENGINEER shall revise the traffic signal layout to include signal locations, signal indications, phase sequence diagrams, signal sequence table, flashing operation (normal to emergency), preemption operation (when applicable), interval timing, cycle length and offset. VI. Cloud Peak Lane Cross Walk A. The ENGINEER will coordinate the design with Williamson County and the City of Round Road. B. The ENGINEER shall prepare a cross walk details and include in the plans as ati Add Alternate for the project. VII. Miscellaneous Design A. The ENGINEER will design up to 10 retaining walls for the Pedestrian tunnel, landing area, stairways and ADA ramp area to allow proper access to the tunnel. 1. Preliminary Retaining Wall Layouts (5 sheets) b. Elevation View i. Existing ground line along wall alignment ii. Finished grade line at face of wall iii. Top of retaining wall grade line iv. Soil boring information shown at the correct elevation and scale v. Drainage, signing, lighting, etc. as noted above vi. Drainage structures and utilities as noted above vii. Groundwater levels for walls in cut sections B. Tunnel Fencing: The ENGINEER will prepare layout and details for fencing along the landing including design, details, specifications and quantities. C. Tunnel Illumination: The ENGINEER will prepare Illumination plans and details for the tunnel including design, details, specifications and quantities. D. Traffic Control Plan, Detours and Sequences of Construction The ENGINEER shall revise the TCP / sequence of construction plan to include the work at the pedestrian tunnel and landing areas. This work will include the following: 1. Narrative describing the TCP sequence of construction (1 sheet) 2 2. TCP Typical Sections depicting the construction sequencing (2 sheets) 3. TCP Plan Sheets at 1"=100' for each phase of construction (18 sheets) 4. TCP Standard Sheets E. Miscellaneous Work 1. The ENGINEER will revise the Project Layout Sheet (1 sheet) 2. The ENGINEER will revise the Illumination Layout Sheets (3 sheet) 3. The ENGINEER will revise the General Notes 4, The ENGINEER will revise the Project Manual 5, The ENGINEER shall prepare additional project estimate of the probable construction cost for the Base bid and the Add Alternate. 6. The ENGINEER will update the Utility layout and Utility Tracking report, F. Structural / Tunnel Design: The ENGINEER shall prepare Layouts and details for the Pedestrian Tunnel, stairways, and landing areas to meet ADA requirements. This work will include the following: 1. Prepare Tunnel Layout including railing options, stairway details, wall locations, and other miscellaneous details(2 sheets) 2. Prepare Tunnel Structural Details (1 sheet) 3. Prepare Quantity take -offs and summaries (2 sheets) 4. Prepare wall options analysis G. Construction Support Services: The ENGINEER will review shop drawings and address requests for information for the Pedestrian Tunnel, retaining walls and miscellaneous details associated with the Tunnel option. Background Information: The original Engineering Contract with Klotz Associates, Inc. was approved by Council on June 26, 2008 (R -08-06-26-10D2) and provided for project development to widen Wyoming Springs Drive from Brightwater Boulevard to RM 620 from an existing two-lane roadway to a four -lane major arterial divided roadway. The proposed improvements included constructing the final two -lanes of the four - lane divided roadway, raised medians, curb and gutter, safety improvements at Fern Bluff Elementary School, sidewalks, bicycle accommodations and drainage within the existing right-of-way. Supplemental Contract No. 1 (R -09-03-26-10C2) proposed improvements to increase capacity of an existing roadway and reduce congestion and provide median breaks and turn lanes at intersecting streets.
