WHEREAS, §36-155 Code of Ordinances (2010 Edition) provides for the reimbursement for
the oversizing of water mains, and
WHEREAS, KB Homes has submitted a reimbursement request for the oversizing of water
mains associated with the Legends Village, Section 2, Phase 4 Project, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to approve said reimbursement, Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
That the City Council hereby authorizes the reimbursement to KB Homes of $48,698.00, which
is the cost of oversizing water mains associated with the Legends Village, Section 2, Phase 4 Project.
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and
subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was
open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter
hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act,
Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended.

Item Summary:
When KB Homes submitted their construction plans for the "Legend Village Section 2, Phase 4 Project", the City
Utility Staff recommended that the proposed 1,873 linear feet of 8 -inch wastewater line running north/south
through their development be over -sized to an 18 -inch wastewater line. Thereby, making it a part of the Chandler
Creek 1 (CC -1) future wastewater inceptor with the capacity as identified in the 2008 Wastewater Master Plan. The
estimated cost for the City to construct the 1,873 linear feet of 18 -inch wastewater interceptor would be
approximately $370,000. This figure does not include cost of any easement acquisition. By having the developer
build the wastewater interceptor and the City paying oversize, the City cost is $48,698.
