R -11-04-28-12C1 WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Interior — Bureau of Reclamation has grant funds available through the WaterSMART (Sustain and Manage America's Resources for Tomorrow) Program, and WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock wishes to make application for available funds through the System Optimization Review Grant Program to recover one-half the cost associated with an update of the Comprehensive Water System Master Plan - 2011, and WHEREAS, the City Council designates the City Manager as the City's authorized official with power to apply for the grant, including making online application, on behalf of the applicant agency, the City of Round Rock, Texas, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, That the City Manager is designated as the authorized official to make application, including making online application, and is hereby directed to make application to the U.S. Department of Interior - Bureau of Reclamation, a copy of said Application being attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein for all purposes. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended. Inc. for the Sunrise Road at Eagles Nest Street — Traffic Signal Construction Project. Director of Infrastructure Management Item Summary: This signal to be located at the intersection of Sunrise Road and Eagles Nest Street meets volume and accident warrants and will provide improvements to public safety and reduce the congestion and delays experienced by the side street, Eagles Nest Street, during the peak periods. The construction items involved in this signalization project shall include concrete drill shaft foundations, concrete sidewalk, ADA compliant pedestrian ramps, signal poles with mast arms, traffic signal heads, pull boxes, open - trenched and direct -drilled conduit with signal conductors, VIVDS traffic detection systems, intersection illumination, illuminated street name signs, road -side signs, pavement markings, pedestrian signal heads, and pedestrian push buttons. Bids were opened at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 24th, 2011. G. Carter Construction from Cedar Park, TX was the only bidder for this project in the amount of $198,980.25.
