WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has duly advertised for bids for the Kenney Fort
Boulevard Project, and
WHEREAS, Chasco Constructors LTD. has submitted the lowest responsible bid, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the bid of Chasco Constructors LTD., Now
Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City a contract
with Chasco Constructors LTD. for the Kenney Fort Boulevard Project.
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and
subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was
open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter
hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act,
Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended.

Item Summary:
The City of Round Rock and Williamson County have been in a working partnership for the design and construction
of the Kenney Fort Boulevard/Arterial A Roadway since 2006. Kenney Fort Boulevard is a six lane divided major
arterial section extending from Joe Dimaggio south to Forest Creek Boulevard. This arterial will include a bridge at
Chandler Creek, an underpass at U.S. 79, a railroad trestle and shoo -fly, a six lane bridge at Brushy Creek, various
traffic signals at key intersections as well as drainage systems and sidewalks. A 16" water line is also included as an
add alternate in the bid of this project.
Chasco Constructors has won the low bid in the amount of $17,095,753.80 to perform all work associated with the
construction and completion of Kenney Fort Boulevard Roadway Project. Williamson County is cost participating in
this project in the amount of $8,000,000. This project is anticipated to take twenty-four months to complete.
