WHEREAS, the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization ("CAMPO") is charged
with selecting projects to receive funding from the Federal Highway Administration Surface
Transportation Program -Metropolitan Mobility ("STP -MM") for transportation projects, programs and
studies; and
WHEREAS, CAMPO is conducting a call for projects to award this funding; and
WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has two projects eligible under STP -MM: (1) Intermodal
Transit Facility Pedestrian and Streetscape Improvements associated with the Southwest Downtown
Infrastructure Improvement (Main Street) Project, and (2) Intermodal Transit Facility at IH 35 and SH
45/Louis Henna — Park & Ride for Express Bus Service; and
WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock wishes to make application to CAMPO for funding for
the two projects eligible under STP -MM, Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
That the Round Rock City Council supports the aforesaid application to the Capital Area
Metropolitan Planning Organization for funding from Federal Highway Administration Surface
Transportation Program -Metropolitan Mobility, a copy of said Application being attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein for all purposes.
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and
subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was
open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter
hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act,
Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended.

Item Summary:
The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) is charged with selecting projects to receive funding
in the region under Federal Highway Administration Surface Transportation Program -Metropolitan Mobility (STP -
MM). CAMPO is conducting a call for projects for projects to award this funding competitively to projects in the
region requiring a minimum of a 20% Local match. The amount available for FY 2012, FY 2013 and FY 2014 is
$74,083,519 and the deadline for applications is June 30, 2011.
The City has three (3) projects eligible under STP -MM:
1. Southwest Downtown Infrastructure Improvement (Main Street) Project - Pedestrian and Streetscape
Improvements
2. Intermodal Transit Facility at IH 35 and SH 45/Louis Henna - Park & Ride for Express Bus Service
Strategic Plan Relevance:
Goal 26.0 Construct major elements of the transportation and mobility system as approved by Council in the Master
Transportation Plan.
Goal 21.0 — Mobility and Connectivity Strategic Initiative 2060 Vision
Residents and visitors will have alternative choices for transportation including public transportation options,
pedestrian/biking options and personal vehicle.
