WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has previously entered into an Interlocal Agreement with
Williamson County for the use of property for the Neighborhood Conference Committee, and
WHEREAS, the City now desires to enter into Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to the Interlocal
Agreement with Williamson County to extend the original Agreement for the first allowable renewal
period, Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City Supplemental
Agreement No. 1 to the Interlocal Agreement with Williamson County, a copy of same being attached
hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein for all purposes.
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and
subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was
open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter
hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act,
Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended.

This Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to "Interlocal Agreement between the City of Round
Rock, Texas and Williamson County for Use of Property for Neighborhood Conference
Committee" is made by and between the City of Round Rock, a Texas home -rule municipality
with offices located at 221 East Main Street, Round Rock, Texas 78664-5299 (hereinafter
referred to as "City"), and Williamson County, Texas, a political subdivision of the State of
Texas with offices located at 405 Martin Luther King, Georgetown, Texas 78626 (hereinafter
referred to as "County").
WHEREAS, City and County executed the original Agreement (hereinafter referred to as
the "Agreement") on the day of , 2009; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to extend the original Agreement for the first
allowable renewal period:
NOW THEREFORE, premises considered, City and County agree that the original
Agreement is amended as follows:
Section 3. TERM shall be amended as follows:
3.1 The initial term of this Agreement shall be for twenty-four (24) months from the
effective date hereof. After that initial term, this Agreement may be renewed for successive
terms of twelve (12) months each with such renewals to occur on or before the expiration date of
the preceding term, and with such renewals being absolutely predicated upon the express written
agreement of the Parties. Such renewals are permitted only provided the County has performed
each and every contractual obligation specified in this Agreement.
3.2 It is understood and expressly acknowledged by the Parties that this Subsection
3.1 is subject to the provisions for early termination contained in Section 7 herein, and that this
Agreement may be terminated for cause or convenience by either of the Parties in accordance
with Section 7 herein, and that such termination may be effected at any time during the initial
term or any successive renewal terms.
3.3 This Supplemental Agreement No. 1 embodies the first allowable renewal of
twelve (12) months, following the expiration of the original term of twenty-four (24)

only with no other changes in terms or conditions of the original Agreement.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, City and County have executed this Supplemental
Agreement No. 1 in duplicate originals.

Item Summary:
In 2009, the City and Williamson County entered into an Interlocal Agreement that allows Williamson County to use
city property located at 210 Round Rock Avenue to conduct activities related to the Neighborhood Conference
Committee (NEC) program. This program assists all students in closing achievement gaps through truancy
prevention initiatives, student mentoring and parental support.
The original term of the agreement was for 24 months and allowed for successive renewal terms of 12 months each.
This supplemental agreement will renew the lease for 12 months. There is no cost to the City for this ILA and
Supplemental and Williamson County is responsible for incurring any costs related to the NCC program.
