R -11-09-08-10F1 WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has duly advertised for bids for the Buck Egger CDBG Park Improvement Project — Phase II, and WHEREAS, Patin Construction has submitted the lowest responsible bid, and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the bid of Patin Construction, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City a contract with Patin Construction for the Buck Egger CDBG Park Improvement Project — Phase II. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended. September 8, 2011 Department: Parks and Recreation Staff Person making presentation: Rick Atkins Parks and Recreation Director Item Summary: Buck Egger Park Improvement Project -Phase II includes construction of a new synthetic turf multipurpose practice fields and a new paved parking lot for approximately 25 cars. This project will also include concrete sidewalks to improve access to the park. This project is fully funded by a HUD Community Development Block Grant. This project aligns with the Game Plan 2020: Parks and Recreation Master Plan for improving and adding more practice fields and the City Strategic Goals under Places and Spaces.
