WHEREAS, Section 6.03(g) of the Property Tax Code provides for the governing body of
each taxing unit to nominate individuals for each position to be filled on the Travis Central Appraisal
District Board of Directors, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Round Rock wishes to nominate the following
individual:

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
That the City Council of Round Rock hereby nominates e.S for the Travis
Central Appraisal District Board of Directors.
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and
subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was
open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter
hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act,
Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended.

Section 6.03(g) of the Property Tax Code provides for the governing body of each taxing unit to nominated
individuals for each position to be filled on the Travis Central Appraisal District (TCAD) Board of Directors.
On June 23, 2011, the City Council nominated Scott Rhode to replace the City's current representative who resigned
before her term had expired. While Rico Reyes was appointed (and not Scott Rhode), the term he was appointed to
expires December 31, 2011. The City Council must submit another nomination for the new two year term which
starts in January 2012. TCAD must receive the Council's nomination before November 1, 2011.
Staff recommends nominating Rico Reyes for another term on the board.
