PROJECT: Texas Avenue Connection This Supplemental Contract No. 3 to Contract for Engineering Services is made by and between the City of Round Rock, Texas, hereinafter called the "City" and Aguirre & Fields, LP, hereinafter called the "Engineer". WHEREAS, the City and Engineer executed a Contract for Engineering Services, hereinafter called the "Contract", on the lath day of April, 2017 for the Texas Avenue Connection Project in the amount of $141,164.38; and WHEREAS, the City and Engineer executed Supplemental Contract No. 1 on August 7, 2017 to amend the scope of services and to increase the compensation by $15,617.00 to a total of $156,781.38; and WHEREAS, the City and Engineer executed Supplemental Contract No. 2 on November 17, 2017 to modify the provisions for the scope of services and to increase the compensation by $5,440.00 to a total of $162,221.38; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to amend the Contract to modify the provisions for the scope of services and to increase the compensation by $41,209.77 to a total of $203,431.15; NOW THEREFORE, premises considered, the City and the Engineer agree that said Contract is amended as follows: I. Article 2. Engineering eering Services and Exhibit B. Engineering Services shall be amended as set forth in the attached Addendum to Exhibit B. Exhibit C. Work Schedule shall be amended as set forth in the attached Addendum to Exhibit C. II. Article 4, Compensation and Exhibit D. Fee Schedule shall be amended by increasing by $41,209.77 the lump sum amount payable under the Contract for a total of $203,431.15, as shown by the attached Addendum to Exhibit D. Sheets, City Attorney 31;7311� Date Supplemental Contract Rev.06: 16 0194 1731.00397414 84275 ADDENDUM TO EXHIBIT B Engineering Services This contract consists of providing; engineering services required for the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates (PS&G) and related supporting documents for the construction of Texas Avenue in Round Rock, TX on new location. Texas Avenue %gill consist of a 60 foot right -or way, 37 feet of pavement, curb and gutter and a side« alk on the south side of the road. These services include preparing roadway design, hydrologic and hydraulic design, water quality improvements, wastewater design, and survey necessary to support the design process. These services do not include geotechnical data collection, analysis, or environmental engineering services. The initial design scope for this Project included one driveway to serve the property along the north side of Texas Avenue and one driveway to the property along the south side of Texas Avenue. City staff was informed recently that an agreement had been made between the City and the southern property owner to provide a minimum of two driveways to that property. In addition, the northern property's engineer had requested moving their driveway to accommodate the site plan. It was requested by the City to move the two driveways and add an additional driveway at the same time. The Engineer has been requested to provide bid phase services that were not included in the original contract. 1) Roadway Design Controls (FC 160) i) The Engineer shall adjust proposed roadway design to accommodate the relocation of twodriveways and the addition of one driveway. (1) Driveway I & 2 relocation to be updated on P&P sheets (2) Driveway 3 to be designed and included in pian set (3) Labeling to be updated on all sheets (4) Proposed Terrain Model updated (a) Update cross sections (b) Proposed tin file adjusted (c) Rerun Earthwork calculations ii) The Engineer shall update summary sheets and cost estimate. 2) Drainage (FC 161) i) The Engineer shall update all drainage and water quality items that pertain to adding additional impervious cover to the project. (1) Drainage Area and Water quality calculations will be updated (2) Drainage Area boundaries to be revised (3) Verification of pond and storm sewer sizing (4) Labeling to be updated on all sheets ii) The Engineer shall coordinate with TCEQ for sheet updates. iii) The Engineer shall provide quantities and cost estimates for any additional items. 3) Project Management and Administration (FC 164) i) The Engineer has provided for additional coordination ii) The Engineer shall provide bid phase services documents and attend meetings. 4) Project Management and Construction Phase Services (FC 309) i) The Engineer has provided for additional coordination ii) The Engineer shall provide construction phase services documents and attend meetings. Services to be based on actual labor charged. The City of Round Rock executed a contract with Aguirre & Fields, LP. in the amount of $141,164.38, on April 13th 2017, in exchange for providing 60%, 90%, 100% PS&E designs for a new road section of Texas Avenue. The project will extend existing Texas Avenue from Greenhill Drive to its current termini, approximately 730ft. east of Greenhill Drive. The project was initially proposed to be ready for advertising by mid-November 2017. Supplemental #1, in the amount of $15,617.00, increased the scope of the original contract to include a sedimentation/filtration/detention pond (Detention Pond) as part of its PS&E submittals. This Detention Pond was added to the scope of the Texas Ave Project, by way of an Interlocal Agreement(ILA) between the City of Round Rock(CORR) and the Upper Brushy Creek Water Control and Improvement District(WCID). It is the intent of the CORR to partner with WCID in its treatment and detention of storm water, which has been documented through the execution of an ILA.
