R-12-10-25-1111 WHEREAS, South and North Mays Street, from Hesters Crossing Boulevard to U.S. 79, also known as U.S. Highway 81, is a primary thoroughfare through the City of Round Rock (the "City"); and k WHEREAS, Round Rock Avenue, from IH-35 to U.S. Highway 81 (North Mays Street), also { known as RM 620, is a primary thoroughfare through the City; and t WHEREAS, the City has been in discussions with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) regarding the transfer of jurisdiction and conveyance of the rights-of-way for portions of 4 South and North Mays Street, and Round Rock Avenue (the "Right-of-Way"), as described in Exhibits e A-G, attached hereto and incorporated herein,Now Therefore t BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, i THAT: f 1. The facts and recitations in the preamble of this Resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated herein and expressly made a part I hereof. F 2. The City finds that it is in the best interest of the citizens of Round Rock to request TxDOT to transfer the jurisdiction and convey the Right-of-Way to the City. 3. The City acknowledges that TxDOT will convey the right-of-way pursuant to Section 202.021 of the Texas Transportation Code. The State will convey the tracts described in Exhibits A, B, D, E and F by Deed without Warranty. The State will provide the City with a Quitclaim Deed for the tracts described in Exhibits C and G. 4. Maintenance of Right-of-Way shall commence after said transfer.
