R-2014-1355 WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has previously entered into an Agreement for Architectural Services with Marmon Mok, LP for the Sports Complex Project; and WHEREAS, Marmon Mok, LP has submitted Supplemental Agreement No. 5 to the Agreement for Architectural Services for a change in the scope of services; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to enter into said Supplemental Agreement No. 5 with Marmon Mok, LP, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City Supplemental Agreement No. 5 to the Agreement for Architectural Services with Marmon Mok, LP, a copy of same being attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein for all purposes. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended. The Scope of Services shall be amended by addition of the following: Building B Architectural/Landscape Fee $39,240.00 Total Consultant Fee $21,360.00 Structural Fee $8,460 MEP/FP Fee $12,900 Scope: 1. Architectural design based upon the approved Schematic Design presented to City Council in October 2013. a. Schematic design, digital modeling and renderings; presentation of model, plans and renderings to City Council; and coordination of preliminary pricing with Chasco (complete). b. Project management and coordination of consultants (partially complete). c. Design development (partially complete). d. Construction Documents: Drawings and new specifications of new materials and roof cleaning. e. Bidding. f. Construction Administration: Five (5) site visits (four during construction, one at substantial completion). 2. Structural: a. Analysis and design of the following: 1) Foundation and roof framing for new Concession/Toilet Room Building. 2) Wood seating platforms. 3) Perimeter wall/fence. 4) Pipe frame for metal screen east of concession area. 5) Existing structure for addition of two new large fans. 6) Existing foundation beams to support new wall/fence. b. Structural plans and details for the following: 1) Foundation and roof framing for new Concession/Toilet Room Building. 2) Reinforcing of existing structure for addition of two new large fans, if required. 3) Modifications to existing foundation to support new wall/fence, if required. c. Sketches for structural details and sizing to Owner to include Owner's drawings for the following: 1) Wood seating platforms. 2) Perimeter wall/fence. 3) Pipe frame for metal screen east of concession area. 3. MEP/FP: a. HVAC unit for cooling and heating at Concession/Toilet Room Building; unit heaters for open activity space. b. Plumbing for fixtures at Concession/Toilet Room Building area; drinking fountains and 2 No Text roof drainage. c. Electrical power distribution for general use and concessions, lighting and emergency systems. d. Construction administration. 4. Landscape design. Design -build proposal by the Contractor based on general information for planting and irrigation provided by the architect. 5. Civil design. Design for any re -grading required outside the Building B perimeter will be a design -build proposal based on infonnation provided on the drawings. 6. Specifications for Building B utilizing the Round Rock Sports Center specifications. Building B drawings will be modified as needed. 7. Submittals: a. Initial Schematic Plan and Elevations for written approval. b. 50% Construction Documents for approval of building systems. c. Final Construction Documents for final pricing and construction. 8. Audio -Visual Systems, Telecommunication Data and Security requirements by the City of Round Rock. TOTAL PROPOSED FEE 560,600.00 II. Section 1.1.2.5 of the Agreement shall be amended by addition of the following: The Fee Schedule relative to this Agreement shall show an increase for Basic Professional Services in the amount of $60,600.00 for the additional services added to the Scope of Services by this Supplemental Agreement No.5 to the previous not -to exceed amount of $1,280,978.00, for an increased not -to -exceed amount of $1,341,578.00. The not -to exceed amount was previously increased from the base price of $1,120,000.00 by Supplemental Agreement No. 2 in the amount of $29,800.00; Supplemental Agreement No. 3 in the amount of $16,000.00; and Supplemental Agreement No. 4 in the amount of $115,178.00. No additional reimbursable expenses are authorized.
