Text of Legislative File 13-509
This ordnance establishes the general number of positions and their classifications
authorized within the fire department. It outlines the total number of each classified
position, but does not restrict such classified positions to particular divisions within the
department.
Additionally, this ordinance reclassifies two existing lieutenant positions to two captain
positions. These Civil Service reclassifications will not increase the current total number of
classified positions within the fire department.
The costs associated with the reclassification (approximately $18,300.00) will not raise the
current budget of the fire department and will be funded through a redirection of funds within
the existing budget.
Cost: $18,300.00
Source of Funds: General Fund
Staff recommends approval.
