R -13-08-08-G11 WHEREAS, on December 20, 2012 the City Council approved the General Self -Financed Construction 2013 Capital Spending Plan ("Plan"), and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to revise said Plan, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, That the Plan is hereby revised as shown in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended. The City's financial strategy of cash funding for projects which the City would normally issue debt has saved the taxpayers of Round Rock at least 12 cents on the property tax rate by avoiding the issuance of debt. This strategy has reduced the need to borrow funds while allowing the City to continue to keep up with the growing demand. This General Self -Financed Construction spending plan revision will allocate approximately $2.85 million in funding for the following: $500,000 payment to State Comptroller for sales and use tax audit payment due in September and $2.35 million for the NIR investments economic development agreement.
