Item Summary:
On November 23, 2010 the City established the Drainage Utility Fund. All Drainage Utility
Charges shall be deposited as collected and received into this fund, and shall be used
exclusively for storm water drainage services. The City's storm water drainage program is
designed to protect life and property from flood damage and keep runoff from polluting
creeks and other waterways.
The Drainage Fund provides stable funding for existing drainage infrastructure. All single
family residences will pay a flat fee of $2.75 per month. The fee for commercial, industrial
and multi -family properties is calculated based on their living unit equivalent (LUE) and
amount of the improved area - buildings, parking lots, driveways, etc.
The 2013-2014 Drainage Utility Fund budget provides revenues associated with fees
collected from residential and commercial customers. There is no rate adjustment for the
Drainage Fund in this budget. This budget includes funding for machinery and equipment
as well as related costs needed for operations.
