THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK AND HABITAT FOR HU MITY OF
WILLIAMSON COUNTY (the "First Amendment") is dated and entered into as of the day of
2018, by and between the City of Round Rock, Texas, a home rule municipal
corp tion, ("CITY") and HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY,
("S RECIPIENT").
WHEREAS, on the 13th day of March, 2017, CITY and SUBRECIPIENT entered into a Community
Development Block Grant Agreement (the "Contract"); and
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend certain terms and provisions in the Contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and agreements herein contained, the
sufficiency of which are hereby conclusively acknowledged, and subject to the terms and conditions
hereinafter set forth, the parties agree as follows:
ARTICLE 1
1.1 All terms used herein shall have the meanings assigned to them in the Contract unless the context
clearly requires otherwise.
ARTICLE II
AMENDMENT TO SEC. 2.1
2.1 Section 2.1 of the Contract is hereby amended to read as follows:
2.1 Services of SUBRECIPIENT shall start on October 1, 2016. This Agreement shall expire
on September 30, 2018, unless extended in writing by SUBRECIPIENT and CITY, except
as provided below. SUBRECIPIENT shall complete all services contemplated by this
Agreement prior to its expiration, as more specifically set forth in the following timetable:
2.2 The timetable following Section 2.1 of the Contract remains unchanged.

MISCELLANEOUS
3.1 To the extent necessary to effect the terms and provisions of this First Amendment, the Contract is
hereby amended and modified. In all other respects, the aforesaid Contract is hereby ratified and confirmed.
3.2 This First Amendment may be executed in counterparts, each of which shall be an original and all
of which together shall constitute but one and the same instrument.

Consider approving the First Amendment to the Community Development Block Grant
Agrement between the City of Round Rock and Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County
extending the time for Habitat for Humanity to complete their services from July 1, 2018 to
September 30, 2018.
The Community Development Block Grant Agreement between the City of Round Rock
and Habitat for Humanity was originallly approved on March 13, 2017 by CM -2017-1339
and has an expiration date of July 1, 2018. Habitat for Humanity has requested a time
extension in writing and is asking that the agreement be amended giving them additional
time until September 30, 2018 to complete their services.
Staff recommends approval of the extension.
