Consider executing Supplemental Contract No. 1 with HDR Engineering Inc. for
Stormwater Emergency Support 2016-2018 Work Authorization.
This is simply an extension of the expiration date for an existing contract with HDR
Engineering, Inc. The original contract was approved by the City Council on July 14, 2016.
The contract was set to expire on July 31, 2018, but we still need assistance from HDR in
the event of a major flood event. The contract is a work authorization contract for HDR to
support City staff during and after emergency situations. HDR will provide on-call services
to be used as an extension of City staff to monitor flooding conditions during an event as
well as place valuable resources in the field to assess flood damage and identify
compromised infrastructure, as directed by the City. They will also assist City staff with
emergency design support, FEMA response documentation and help pursue grants and
other funding as they become available from state or national disaster declarations.
The new expiration date for this contract will be January 1, 2019.
