The total estimated construction cost for the projected capital improvement projects required to
accommodate ten years o�f growth has been divided by the total projected L,'[J,E, for tha,t period to
determine the impact fee, 'rheso f,eeq are based on construction cost only, and do not include
interest, costs, bond underwriting Cots, or other "soft" costs related to these projects The attached
report oudines the Capital Improvementproiews, required to service the projected ten year of
growth, and calculates the impact,fee for water and wastewater based on threse projects,
The maximum impact fees which may be adopted under the reqtsirements of the legislation are
$1435 for water and $1565 for wastewater, Council may adopt impact fa es for these amounts, oir
any lesser amount they, chaose. If aless er ainount is cho,sen, the difference would be made tip in
utifity rates, The present capita,l recovery f'ees are $1345 for water n,d$1250 for wastewater, Staff
recommends rtaining the fees at their curr,ent amounts
