R-2018-5861 - 9/13/2018 RESOLUTION NO. R-2018-5861 WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock (the "City") has duly advertised for proposals for employer-paid group life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage and voluntary employee- paid additional group life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage and commencing January 1, 2019; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Life Insurance Company ("Minnesota Life") has submitted a proposal to provide said services, and said proposal has been determined to be the most advantageous to the City considering the price and other evaluation factors included in the request for proposals; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to accept the proposal of Minnesota Life and authorize the Mayor to execute applications for coverage to Minnesota Life and other related documents required for the implementation of said benefits, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: That the proposal of Minnesota Life for provision of employer-paid group life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage and voluntary employee-paid group life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage is hereby accepted, as the proposal is determined to be the most advantageous to the City considering the price and other evaluation factors included in the request for proposals. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City the applications for coverage with Minnesota Life and other related documents required for the implementation of said benefits, a copy of such documents being attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein for all purposes. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was 0112.1804-,00408934/ss2 open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended.
