R-2018-5826 WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock ("City") has previously entered into an Interlocal Agreement between Williamson County and the City for the Establishment of EMS Ambulance and Personnel Housing at Round Rock Fire Stations ("Agreement"), and WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into an Addendum to the Agreement to provide for reimbursement by Williamson County to the City up to $120,000 for costs of construction of an apparatus bay at Fire Station No. 9,Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City an Addendum for Interlocal Agreement between Williamson County and the City of Round Rock, Texas for the Establishment of EMS Ambulance and Personnel Housing at Round Rock Fire Stations (Fire Station No. 9 Ambulance Bay Construction, 2721 Sam Bass Rd.), a copy of same being attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein for all purposes. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended. WHEREAS, the Parties mutually agree to add Fire Station No. 9, located at 2721 Sam Bass Rd.,Round Rock, Texas for the public purpose of housing Emergency Medical Services("EMS") crews; NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and agreements herein contained, the undersigned Parties further agree as follows; I. No Changes to Existing Interlocal Agreement: The same terms and conditions as set forth in the original Interlocal Agreement, signed February 9, 2017, shall remain in effect. II. Construction of Ambulance Bay: The City shall procure, bid out, contract, and oversee the construction of an adequate ambulance bay at Fire Station No. 9 (the "Project") to support the public health operations of both parties. III. Financial Contribution by Counly for Construction of Ambulance Bay: The County agrees to reimburse the City $120,000.00 towards Project costs incurred by the City for the construction of the ambulance bay ("reimbursement amount") and agrees to provide any necessary improvements to the EMS sole occupied space to prepare said space to be move-in ready.
