Consider executing Quantity Adjustment/Change Order No. 2 with Chasco Constructors for
the Dry Branch Tributaries Channel Improvements Project.
The Dry Branch Tributaries Channel Improvements project is located north of Gattis School
Road near the Joyce Lane and Ray Berglund Boulevard residential neighborhoods. The
Dry Branch Tributaries Channel Improvements project will provide improvements for a
portion of Dry Branch and an unnamed tributary to Dry Branch. The project will provide
conveyance improvements for flood control and will correct erosion and protect City
wastewater infrastructure.
Quantity Adjustment/Change Order No. 2 (QA/CO No. 2) includes the addition of a new
wastewater service for 1107 Joyce Lane, an extension of an additional 43 linear feet of
steel casing pipe due to unexpected changes in topography at the site, and a credit given
by the contractor for being able to dispose of excavated material at a location closer to the
construction site and not the proposed disposal area No. 3 as planned. With the credit
given for the waste material, this change order provides the City a credit of $2,323 after
deducting the cost of the additional items, casing pipe, and wastewater service.
QAICO No. 2 includes the cost of labor, additional materials, equipment for the work and
the quantity adjustments credit agreed by Chasco. This QA/CO No. 2 is a reduction in ther
