Document physical characteristics such as high water marks, Manning's n-value, vegetative cover, erosion, etc. that is relevant to hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and design. 1 4. DATA ASSESSMENT A. Review all data received and verify formats, validity, accuracy, geographic projection, and insure all data references in correctly and is usable. This includes the 2D model already created on a portion of the study area. Model must be reviewed for accuracy and determined how to incorporate it into overall data. B. Compare electronic data received with field reconnaissance data to verify data and determine any inconsistencies between data and existing conditions. C. Determine any areas where further infonnation is needed. D. Develop data collection summary tables and exhibits to present to the City. 5. MEETING WITH CITY A. Attend one meeting with City to report findings (with prepared support material), determine if any further infonnation is needed, and discuss scoping of the existing modeling phase of the project. 2 Phase#2: Greater Round Rock West Assessment—Existing Conditions Model 1. PROJECT MANAGEMENT E. Prepare monthly invoices for submission to the City for all requests for payment. F. Produce Project Scheduling G. QA/QC Models, Exhibits, Calculations, Assumptions 2. DEVELOP 1D MODEL OF STORM DRAINAGE SYSTEM A. Import GIS layer provided from city, as-builts, and field reconnaissance data to define link and node details B. Check all inputs and manually modify features as necessary. Areas without upstream or downstream information will have pipe flow lines manually entered at assumed grades sufficient to provide full flow velocities at least three feet-per-second. The manning roughness parameters for conduits will be 0.013 for precast concrete pipes and 0.024 for corrugated metal pipes where appropriate. C. Model all inlets - connect to 2D Grid by checking the 2D inflow capture box and connect node crest to 2D. D. Model all other nodes - will be set to "Sealed" E. Model open channels - modeled as 1 D, surface area of open channel removed from 2D F. Model Pond - Analyze to determine if pond is modeled as 1D node or pond footprint removed as 2D. 3. 21) MODEL CONSTRUCTION A. Define 2D Grid and surface a. Convert LiDAR data into ascii file and import into XPSWMM. (This step may require splitting data set into pieces to ensure we do not exceed the program capabilities) b. Define 2D computation grid - Optimize cell size and extent based on computation results c. Adjust 2D grid orientation based on expected flow and computation results. B. Define 2D inactive areas C. Define 1D/2D connections for channels and manholes D. Define Land use a. Import shapefile from GIS E. Define Boundary conditions a. Lake Creek models b. Rating curves for other 1 D man-made drainage features F. Set Job Control a. Rain on grid (25-Year and 100-Year event) b. Apply Atlas 14 Rainfall Totals c. 1 D Time Step 3 d. 2D Time Step e. Stored Results Time step 4. 2D MODEL SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS AND CALIBRATION/VALIDATION A. Document simplifications required for stability a. Removal of short links b. Combining inlet capture into one node B. Compare results to other data, photos, studies, videos, etc. C. Rainfall calibration data(Indicate if actual or synthetic) D. Check Sensitivity to land-use/infiltration 5. PREPARE DELIVERABLES A. 25-Year Existing 2D Model B. Inundation map and any other necessary exhibits (Estimated 6 Study Areas)—25- Year and 100-Year C. Modeling Checklist for XP-SWMM 6. COORDINATE WITH CITY B. Attend one meeting with City to report findings (with prepared support material), determine if any further information is needed, and discuss scoping of the proposed solutions modeling phase of the project. C. Address any comments the City may have and resubmit results. 4 EXHIBIT C Fee Schedule Total Total Other Task Labor Hours Loaded Labor Cost Direct Costs Subconsultants TOTALS Task 1: PROJECT MANAGEMENT 86 $15,980.00 $0.00 $0.00 $15,980.00 Task 2: DATA COLLECTION 108 $17,150.00 $190.00 $0.00 $17,340.00 Task 3: EXISTING CONDITIONS ANALYSIS 637 $106,495.00 $185.00 $0.00 $106,680.00 GRAND TOTAL: 831 $139,625.00 $375.00 $0.00 $140,000.00 EXHIBIT D Certificate of Insurance Attached Behind This Page Client#: 180670 LJAENGIN D/YYYY) E(MM/D ACORDT.
