R-2019-0282 - 7/11/2019 RESOLUTION NO. R-2019-0282 WHEREAS, the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division ("CJD") has grant funds available to cities for various law enforcement projects, and WHEREAS, grant funds are available for the General Victim Assistance Program to fund two full-time Victims Services Advocate positions, and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to apply for a grant to the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division for said positions, and WHEREAS, the City Council designates the City Manager as the City's authorized official with power to apply for the grant, including snaking online application, on behalf of the applicant agency, the City of Round Rock, Texas, and WHEREAS, the grant requires a match by the City, and the City Council wishes to approve said match, and WHEREAS, in the event of loss or misuse of CJD grant funds, the City of Round Rock assures that the funds will be returned to the CJD in full,Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, THAT: 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to make the necessary application for the above-described grant; and 2. The snatch by the City is approved; and 3. In the event of loss or misuse of CJD grant funds, the funds will be returned to the CJD in full. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended. 0112.1902;00427019 RESOLVED this 11 th day of July, 2019.
