Downtown Round Rock has developed a trash problem. This increase in trash is directly
proportional to the increase in business and traffic in the Downtown area. Another reason for
the increase in waste might be people dumping in this area who shouldn't be. To avoid illegal
dumping and in an effort to beatify Downtown Round Rock we have put this project together.
To conserve time, two more areas have been added to the scope of work. 2P Consultants
provided structural design and construction drawings for two new dumpster enclosures. These
enclosures will hide trash bins from the public eye and increase the aesthetic of downtown
Round Rock.
Construction of the Downtown Trash Modification has already taken place. During construction
minor problems arose due to unforeseen field conditions that minorly increased the cost of the
overall contract. Change requests 001, 002, and 006 were required to finish the project on time
and in accordance with the design plans. Change request 004, 007, and 008 are deductions
from the contract price for work that was not required during contraction of the dumpster
enclosures.
