R-2020-0024 - 1/31/2020RESOLUTION NO. R-2020-0024 WHEREAS, the Federal Transit Administration ("FTA") has grant funds available for FY 2019 Section 5310 funding; and WHEREAS, Capital Metro is the designated recipient for the FTA Section 5310 funds and will administer the project; and WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock ("City") is seeking funding as a subrecipient from FTA's FY 2019 Section 5310 for the City's bus shelter project which will improve accessibility to the fixed bus route system; and WHEREAS, the City wishes to make application for the available FTA FY 2019 Section 5310 funds; and WHEREAS, the City Council designates the City Manager as the City's authorized official with power to apply for the grant, including making online application, on behalf of the applicant agency, the City of Round Rock, Texas, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, A. That the City Council approves submission of the grant application to the Federal Transit Administration for the fixed route bus system and paratransit services projects. B. That the City Manager is designated as the authorized official to apply for the grant, including making an online application, and is hereby directed to apply for FY 2019 Federal Transit Authority Section 531.0 funding. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended. 0112.20202;00437853 RESOLVED this 23rd day of January, 2020.
