PROPOSED BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2020
CITY OF ROUND ROCK
TO THE CITIZENS OF ROUND ROCK:
The City of Round Rock will hold a public hearing on August 22, 2019 at 6:00pm in the City Council
Chambers located at 221 E. Main Street, Round Rock, Texas 78664 regarding the Fiscal Year 2020
proposed budget.
The Total Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2020 is $444,745,032.
This budget will raise more total property taxes than las year's budget by $7,720,406 or 13.6%
and of that amount $1,610,750 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax
roll this year.
Copies of the proposed budget are available to the public at the following places:

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
To the Citizens of Round Rock, Texas:
Notice is hereby given that at 6:00pm on September 121h, a public hearing will be held in the City Council
Chambers at 221 E. Main Street in the City of Round Rock, Texas concerning the following proposed Tax Rate.
The 2019 proposed tax rate of $0.439000 exceeds the effective tax rate of$0.401615. The increase in the
proposed rate over the effective rate is to provide funding for rising operating costs for public safety and city
services, public safety equipment, and new debt payments for the road expansion program.
The debt portion of the proposed tax rate is fixed at $0.125491, the amount necessary to meet the City's debt
payment obligations. However, the M&O portion (General fund operational portion) of the rate can vary. The
Council can adopt a final M&O tax rate that is lower than the proposed rate included in the published notices, but
it cannot adopt a higher M&O rate without repeating the notice and hearing process and giving taxpayers the
opportunity to hear and comment about the higher tax increase.
The Rollback Rate for 2019 is $0.441338.

This is the first public hearing of the proposed tax rate, fulfilling the requirements of the Texas Local Government
Code, Section 102.006 providing for public comment. The first public hearing on the proposed tax rate and first
reading of the Ordinance to adopt the proposed tax rate is scheduled for September 12, 2019, the second public
hearing on the proposed tax rate is scheduled for September 19, 2019, and the final adoption is scheduled for
September 26, 2019.

funds of the Corporation in support of the following project: expansion of the Sovos Brands Intermediate,
Inc. dba Michael Angelo's Gourmet Foods facility located in Round Rock.

Notice is hereby given that in accordance with Title 12, Section 395.042 of the Local Government
Code, a public hearing will be held by the Round Rock City Council on the first floor of the
Round Rock City Hall, 221 East Main Street, Round Rock, Texas on Thursday, the 28th day of
February 2019 at 6:00 p.m.
The purpose of this hearing is to solicit public comment to consider the maximum proposed
roadway impact fee per service unit as follows:
Service Area A: $2,678 /vehicle mile
Service Area B: $2,933 /vehicle mile
Service Area C: $2,511 /vehicle mile
The Round Rock City Council may implement a different fee than shown above, but the fee
cannot exceed the maximum proposed fee.
Any member of the public has the right to appear at the hearing and present evidence for or
against the maximum proposed roadway impact fee.
