Old Settlers Park Adult Recreation Complex
Change Order #6 Summary
Date: 03/25/2020
Change Order ##6 to the contract with PCCI includes changes to the current phase of construction. These
changes include:
Disconnect/Reconnect Irrigation at Driveways: During construction, it was determined that
disconnecting the irrigation laterals and reconnecting them in sleeves under the parking lot drives would
be best if there was a need for any future repairs to the lines. By placing these existing lines in a sleeve
under the drive, it ensures an ease of maintenance without causing any damage to the parking lot or
utilizing expensive boring machines.
Cost: $990.00
Add additional 11' of handrail: PARD determined that a handrail should be installed along a walkway
where a turndown curb was installed to prevent a tripping risk.
Cost: $665.00
Construct Utility Enclosure at Restroom: After the electrical transformer, RPZ, water meters, etc. were
in place, the back side of the building became unsightly. By enclosing this space, it hid all of the ugly
infrastructure as well as decreased the chances for kids to play on the pipes and equipment there.
Cost: $7,326.00
Installation of RPZ at restroom service: It was determined during construction that an RPZ would be
required on the potable water line since reuse irrigation is used int the park.
Cost: $1,842.00
Add Erosion Control Blanket: After construction, there were a couple of areas adjacent to the fields
that needed erosion control blanket added to hold the soil in place and allow establishment of
revegetation.
Cost: $3,964.00
Add quad receptacle to IT room: IT requested the addition a separate quad receptacle in the IT room to
support their equipment.
Cost: $836.00
Convert drip irrigation to spray heads in Zone 9: Typically, PARD installs spray heads in areas of turf.
One area was designed to include drip irrigation. To ensure proper irrigation of the turf and decrease
future maintenance concerns, this area was converted to spray heads.
Cost: $1,540.00
Oncor Delay: During construction Oncor delayed the progress of the construction in two ways. First,
Oncor needed to relocate a line to allow construction of the future parking lot. This delayed work on
the parking lot. Second, Oncor needed to set a new transformer. Despite making contact with Oncor
early in the construction process, this was not completed until February 3, 2020. This delayed critical
finish items and held the contractor up. Contractor did not request any delay damages, they just
requested that the substantial completion date shift to February 29, 2020.
Cost: $0.00
TOTAL: $17,163.00
