CDBG 2019-2023 Consolidated Plan Amendment,
2019 Annual Action Plan Amendment and Citizen Participation Plan Amendment
TO ALL INTERESTED PARTIES:
Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held in City Council Chambers located on the first floor of
City Hall, 221 East Main Street in the City of Round Rock, TX, on Thursday May 14, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. by
the City Council. Interested parties may appear and be heard at the public hearing.
PURPOSE:
Notify citizens of a "Substantial Amendment" to the 2019-2023 Consolidated Plan, 2019 Action Plan and
Citizen Participation Plan. Proposed change is adding Code Enforcement as a Goal and Priority; Adding
additional funding from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development which can be used to
address issues and situations from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the amount of $397,375 and proposed
projects and revising the Citizen Participation Plan to include policies in the case of Emergency or
Declaration of Disaster.
BACKGROUND:
The City of Round Rock Community Development Citizens Participation Plan requires that there must be
reasonable notice of a proposed Substantial Amendment so that residents will have an opportunity to
review it and comment on it. HUD has allowed a waiver due to the Coronavirus that allows public
comment period of no less than 5 days. A copy of the 2019-2023 Consolidated Plan, 2019 Action Plan and
Citizen Participation Plan with proposed changes is available for review at the Office of Community
Development at 221 East Main Street, Round Rock, TX and at www.roundrocktexas.gov.
COMMENTS:
Citizens may send written comments to Liz Alvarado, Community Development Coordinator, Office of
Community Development, 221 East Main Street, Round Rock, TX 78664 or call 341-3328 (voice) or 1-800-
735-2989 (TDD). Comments will be accepted by the Office of Community Development Department until
5:00 p.m., May 14, 2020.
