3 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 42, SECTION 42-313, CODE OF
4 ORDINANCES (2018 EDITION), CITY OF ROUND ROCK TEXAS,
5 REGARDING PARKING REGULATIONS FOR THE DISPLAY AND
6 STORAGE OF RENTAL VEHICLES; AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS
7 CLAUSE AND REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND
8 RESOLUTIONS.

10 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
11 TEXAS:

13 That Chapter 42, Article II, Division 11, Section 42-313 of the Code of Ordinances
14 (2018 Edition), City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby amended to add subsections (a)
15 and (b) and read as follows:
16 CHAPTER 42 — TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES.
17 Sec. 42-313. - Parking on street for sale, rental, washing, or repairing.

No person or business shall park a vehicle upon any roadway for the principal purpose of:
(a) Washing, greasing, or repairing such vehicle, except repairs necessitated by an emergency; or
(b) Displaying or storing rental vehicles or vehicles for sale.
A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in conflict herewith are
expressly repealed.
B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this ordinance shall not
invalidate other sections or provisions thereof.
C. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date,
hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Ordinance was adopted was posted
and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which

1 and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which
2 this Ordinance and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally
3 acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government
4 Code, as amended.

6 By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative vote of all the
7 Council members present, the requirement for reading this ordinance on two separate
8 days was dispensed with.
