Nearly all of the existing plant controls were reaching their design life, so the timing for replacing them was good and Is being done just ahead of the actual plant expansion work. This work Is titled Phase A of the Plant Control System Replacement project and this work was awarded and Is currently being performed by Prime Controls, L.C. Phase 8 of this work will be performed by Prime Controls, L.C. as a subcontractor under Thalle Construction Company as a part of the overall 10 MGD East WWTP Expansion project. This Is change order number 1 in the amount of $15,739.61 to make electrical conduit and wiring changes along with modifications to one of the Programable Logic Controllers (PLC) to accommodate 10 sensors not shown on the original plans. These sensors will read the temperature, and pressure of the seal water to the Return Activated Sludge (RAS) and Waste Activated Sludge (WAS) pumps. The sensors then relay this Information back to the operating software, aka SCADAsystem where the operators can monitor the information.
