TO CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
FIRM: RODRIGUEZ TRANSPORTATION GROUP, INC. ("Engineer")

PROJECT: Gattis School Road (Segment 3)
This Supplemental Contract No. 4 to Contract for Engineering Services is made by and between
the City of Round Rock, Texas, hereinafter called the "City" and Rodriguez Transportation
Group, Inc., hereinafter called the "Engineer".
WHEREAS, the City and Engineer executed a Contract for Engineering Services, hereinafter
called the "Contract", on the 22nd day of March, 2018 for the Gattis School Road (Segment 3)
Project in the amount of$1,013,037.45; and
WHEREAS,the City and Engineer executed Supplemental Contract No. 1 on February 14, 2019
to amend the scope of services and to increase the compensation by $117,447.94 to a total of
$1,130,485.39; and
WHEREAS, the City and Engineer executed Supplemental Contract No. 2 on August 22, 2019
to amend the scope of services and to increase the compensation by $89,780.42 to a total of
$1,220,265.81; and
WHEREAS, the City and Engineer executed Supplemental Contract No. 3 on November 12,
2020 to amend the scope of services and to increase the compensation by $52,865.48 to a total of
$1,273,131.29; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to amend the Contract to modify the provisions for the
scope of services and to increase the compensation by $78,587.78 to a total of$1,351,719.07;
NOW THEREFORE, premises considered, the City and the Engineer agree that said Contract
is amended as follows:

Article 2, Engineering Services and Exhibit B, Engineering Services shall be amended as set
forth in the attached Addendum to Exhibit B. Exhibit C, Work Schedule shall be amended as set
forth in the attached Addendum to Exhibit C.

II.
Article 4, Compensation and Exhibit D, Fee Schedule shall be amended by increasing by
$78,587.78 the lump sum amount payable under the Contract for a total of $1,351,719.07, as
shown by the attached Addendum to Exhibit D.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City and the Engineer have executed this Supplemental
Contract in duplicate.

ADDENDUM TO EXHIBIT B
Engineering Services
The additional Scope of Work to be performed by the Engineer under this Supplemental Contract
is described as follows:
• Additional Roadway Design Services to add the reconstruction of E. Rock Cove to the
plan set. The addition of E. Rock Cove does not include services related to traffic
control, drainage, survey, ROW or environmental unless otherwise noted below.
• Additional Roadway Design Services to update the design(as needed) to address changes
resulting from revisions to proposed drainage system resulting from Atlas 14.
• Additional Drainage Design Services to update design to reflect Atlas 14 precipitation
data.
• Additional Illumination Design Services to help resolve utility conflicts.
• Additional Utility coordination required to review relocation plans provided by utility
providers and to develop a DGN file that represents utility locations prior to roadway
construction activities (ex. all existing utilities to remain and all relocated utilities.)
FC 140—Project Management and Administration
A. The Engineer shall continue to manage the project by preparing invoices, maintaining the
project files and work schedule, and continuing to coordinate with City Staff and their
representatives for the extended duration of the project (ex. 12 additional months).
FC 160—Roadway Design
A. Roadway Plans
I. The Engineer shall update existing sheets impacted by the addition of E. Rock Cove
reconstruction to the plan set. Existing sheets include: Index, Project Layout,
Typical Section Pavement Details, Summary Sheets,Narrative Sequence of
Construction, Horizontal Alignment Data Sheet, E. Rock Cove P&P, SW3P.
2. The Engineer shall develop new sheets impacted by the addition of E. Rock Cove
reconstruction to the plan set. New sheets include: Typical Section, Plan Layout, and
Erosion Control Plan sheet.
3. The Engineer shall update the design of various roadway plan sheets (10 max.) as
needed to reflect changes made to the proposed drainage systems resulting from Atlas
14. The 10 sheets requiring revisions may include: TCP and Roadway Sheets.
FC 161 —Drainage
A. The Engineer shall update the Drainage Report to reflect to reflect hydrologic
computations using Atlas 14 precipitation depths. Hydraulic computations for existing
and proposed structures will be revised to account for peak flow rates calculated with
Atlas 14 precipitation depths. Results to be tabulated and report documentation to be
updated for the latest calculations.
B. Culvert and Storm Drain Design
1. The Engineer shall revise Rational Method and Hydrograph calculations to reflect
Atlas 14 precipitation depths. HY-8 and GEOPAK Drainage models will be revised
for the new peak flow rates. Inlet calculations will be modified and if necessary,

additional inlets will be added to ensure ponding width is not exceeded during the
design event.
2. The Engineer shall modify hydraulic calculations using HY-8 and GEOPAK
Drainage models for the new peak flow rates. Inlet calculations will be modified and
if necessary, additional inlets will be added to ensure ponding width is not exceeded
during the design event. On-site drainage area maps and storm profiles will be
modified for the revised design. No off-site storm drain improvements are included
with this task.
3. The Engineer shall modify the erosion control layouts to reflect additional curb inlets
required to address the Atlas 14 precipitation depths.
C. Culvert Layouts
I. The Engineer shall revise the culvert layouts to address the increased peak flow rates
from the Atlas 14 precipitation depths.
2. The Engineer shall revise the culvert design, as necessary,to ensure that the proposed
culverts convey the new Atlas 14 design event with no overtopping of the proposed
roadway.
FC 162—Signing, Pavement Markings, Signals and Illumination
A. Utility Coordination
1. The Engineer shall update the Illumination Plan Layout, as needed, to help resolve
proposed utility related conflicts. Remaining utilities that have not been cleared
include: Atmos, AT&T, Grande, and Zayo.
FC 163—Miscellaneous
A. Utility Coordination
1. The Engineer shall continue to coordinate required relocations with each utility
provider. Coordination efforts includes: reviewing relocation plans and issuing
comments and working with the providers to address questions, gather relocation
schedule information, etc. Continued coordination effort is expected for the
following providers: Atmos, AT&T, Charter/Spectrum, Oncor, Grande, and Zayo.
2. Develop a Microstation reference file (DGN) that represents anticipated utility
locations prior to roadway construction activities. The file will be based on relocation
information provided by the utility providers and existing utilities to remain; all
compiled into a single file.
