O-2022-162 - 4/28/2022ORDINANCE NO. 0-2022-162 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE II, SECTION 2- 117, CODE OF ORDINANCES (2018 EDITION), CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, REGARDING DEFINITION OF CITY OFFICIAL; AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: That Chapter 2, Article II, Section 2-117, Code of Ordinances (2018 Edition), City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby amended to amend the definition of city official to read as follows: Sec. 2-117. Definitions. The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this division, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning: City official means the mayor, every member of the city council, the city manager, the assistant city manager(s), the city attorney, the city clerk, the chief financial officer, the directors of the following city departments, Communications and Marketing, Fire Department, General Services, Human Resources, Information Technology, Library, Parks and Recreation, Planning and Development Services, Police Department, Sports Management and Tourism, Transportation, and Utilities and Environmental Services, and persons acting in the capacity of the aforementioned city officials, appointees, or employees. A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in conflict herewith are expressly repealed. B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions thereof. C. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Ordinance was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Ordinance and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and 0112 1_022, 4M1-3528 7M3 formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended. Alternative 1. By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with.
