TO ALL INTERESTED PARTIES:
Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held in City Council Chambers located on the first floor of City
Hall, 221 East Main Street in the City of Round Rock, TX, on June 1, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. by the Planning and Zoning
Commission. Interested parties may appear and be heard at the public hearing.
The purpose of the hearing is to consider public testimony concerning the request filed by Kimley-Horn, on behalf
of the property owners, Darren E Quick, as Co-Trustee of the Quick Living Trust, Et Al, for Amendment No. 1 to
Planned Unit Development (PUD) No. 131 (Bell Yard PUD) to add 1.23 acres of land to the PUD. The PUD will
designate the 1.23 acres for residential land use in the Round Rock 2030 Comprehensive Plan. The Planning and
Zoning Commission may approve, modify, or deny this application. Case No.ZON2205-001

The purpose of the hearing is to consider public testimony regarding proposed amendments to the Code of
Ordinances City of Round Rock,Texas, 2018, Part III—Zoning and Development Code:
1) Chapter 2, Article VI, Sec. 2-77. — Permitted Uses in the Mixed-Use and PUD Districts, and Article VIII, Sec. 2-
91. — Supplementary Use Standards, to allow cosmetic services except for hair salons and nail salons in the
MU-L(Mixed Use—limited)zoning district.
2) Chapter 8, Article II, Sec. 8-10. —Landscaping, to require automatic irrigation systems to have a cold weather
shut down, and to require the inspection of non-single family or two-family residential irrigation systems by a
licensed inspector at least once every three years.
3) Chapter 8, Article IX. — Signs, and Chapter 1, Article III. — Definitions: to make edits for consistency or
clarification, to address changes in sign technology, materials, and reasonable requests that could not be
accommodated by the existing sign code, and to add new definitions, or make edits to existing definitions.
