AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO
THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, FOR MUNICIPAL
PURPOSES, SAID PROPERTY BEING ADJACENT AND
CONTIGUOUS TO THE PRESENT CITY LIMITS AND
BEING FULLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS
AS HEREINAFTER SET OUT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OP ROUND
ROCK, TEXAS:
1.
That the petition of The Texas Highway Department filed
with the Mayor of Round Rock, Texas, on February 25, 1971, for
annexation to the City of Round Rock, Texas, the hereinafter
described property which is contiguous and adjacent to the
present city limits and is (lass than e mile) /o
in width, and upon which leas than three qualified voters
reside, and upon which petition a hearing was by the Mayor and
City Council this day held, is hereby granted.
2.
That the hereinafter described property be, and the same
is hereby annexed to the City of Round Rock, Texas, for
municipal purposes and that the present corporate limits of
the City of Round Rook, Texas, are hereby extended to embrace
the said property and territory, which is more particularly
described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point 175 feet right of and at right angles
to Engineer's Centerline Station 1225 +00, said point being
in the west right of way line of Interstate Highway No. 35
and also in the north city limits line of the City of
Round Rook, Texas;
THENCE N 0 44' W, a distance of 1262.8 feet;
THENCE N 4° 19.6' W, a distance of 640.1 feet;
THENCE N 2 05.4' W, a distance of 297.5 feet;

That the (property owners) of the territory
hereby annexed by the City of Round Rook, Texas shall in all
respects be on gqual footing with the (property owners)
shall be bound by the acts, ordinanoes, resolutions
and regulations of the City of Round Rook.
4.
That if any section, subsection, word, sentence or pharse
of this ordinance is held invalid, it shall not affect the
remaining part of this ordinance.
5.
The City Secretary is hereby authorised and directed to
file a certified copy of this ordinance, together with a copy
of such petition, in the Office of the County Clerk of Williamson
County, Texas.
6 .
The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to
cause a copy of this ordinance to be published in the officially
designated newspaper as required by law.

WHEREAS, the undersigned, owner of one (1) parcel of land contig-
uous and adjacent to the present boundary line of the City of Round Rock,
Texas, said parcel of land not exceeding one -half (1/2) mile in width and
further being vacant and without residents, in accordance with Section 974g
of VATS hereby petition the Governing Body of the City of Round Rock, Texas
to accept the said parcel of land within its corporate boundaries that it
may receive all the benefits and privileges of being a part of the City of
Round Rock, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, a map of the area is attached hereto and marked as Exhibit
"A ", the said parcel of land being more particularly described by metes and
