O-71-105 - 3/17/1971STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF WILLIAMSON) CITY OF ROUND ROCK ) ORDINANCE NO. 105 8993 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE C1'TY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES, SAID PROPERTY BEING ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE PRESENT CITY LIMITS AND BEING FULLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS AS HEREINAFTER SET OUT. BE TT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: 1. That the petition of The Texas Highway Department filed with the Mayor of Round Rock, Texas, on March 15, 1971, for annexation to the City of Round Rock, Texas, the hereinafter described property which is contiguous and adjacent to the present city limits and is .35 of a mile in width, and upon which less than three qualified voters reside, and upon which petition a hearing vas by the Mayor and City Council this day held, is hereby granted. 2. That the hereinafter described property be, and the same is hereby, annexed to the City of Round Rock, Texas, for municipal purposes and that the present corporate limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas, are hereby extended to embrace the said property and territory, which is more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point 200.0 feet right of and at right angles to Engineer's Centerline Station 1119+40, said point being in the west right of way line of Interstate Highway No. 35 and also being in the North City Limits of Round Rock, Texas, THENCE N 2 05.4' W, a distance of 1819.4 Feet; THENCE N 87 54.6' E, along a line that passes through I. H. 35 Engineer's Centerline Station 1101+20.6 at 200.0 feet, in all a distance of 400.0 feet; THENCE S 2 05.4' E, a distance of 1819.4 feet; THENCE S 87 54.6' W, a distance of 400.0 feet to the place of BEGINNING. 3. That the property owners of the territory hereby annexed by the City of Round Rock, Texas shall in all respects be on equal footing with the property owners, shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations of the City of Round Rock. 4. That if any section, subsection, word, sentence or phrase of this ordinance is held invalid, it shall not affect the remaining part of this ordinance. 5. The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this ordinance, together with a copy of such petition, in the Office of the County Clerk of Williamson County, Texas. 6. The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this ordinance to be published in the officially designated newspaper as required by law.
