BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK:
That Mesa Park, Inc. has made a formal request that the City
of Round Rock take into its City Limits the 122.50 acres of land a
part of the Wiley Harris One -third League Survey, Abstract 298, east
of Eggers Acres Unit 3 Sub - division.

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF
ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES, SAID PROPERTY
BEING ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE PRESENT CITY LIMITS
AND BEING FULLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS AS HEREIN-
AFTER SET OUT.
2E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
1.
That a petition by the Mesa Park, Inc. filed with the Mayor of
Round Rock, Texas, on February 18, 1972, for annexation to the City
of Round Rock, Texas, the herinafter described property which is
contiguous and adjacent to the present city limits, and upon which
less than three qualified voters reside, and upon which petition a
hearing was by the Mayor and City Council this day held, is hereby
granted.
2.
That the hereinafter described property be, and the same is
hereby, annexed to the City of Round Rock, Texas, for municipal
purposes and that the present corporate limits of the City of Round
Rock, Texas, are hereby extended to embrace the said property and
territory of 122.50 acres of the Wiley Harris Survey, Abstract 298,
in Williamson County, Texas, part of a tract of 141.412 acres describ-
ed in a deed from Sally Elfrida Quick to Oscar Stark, dated September
24, 1949, of record in Vol. 357, Page 279, Deed Records, Williamson
County, Texas. Surveyed on the ground by W. F. Forest, Registered
Public Surveyor #101, in February of 1969.
BEGINNING at a set stone at the Northeast corner of Egger
Acres Unit 3, and addition to the City of Round Rock, Texas,
the Northwest corner of the Stark tract;
THENCE North 70 24' East, 1389 feet with the South line of
Bowman Road or street 40 feet wide running along the North
line of the Harris Survey to set an iron pin;
THENCE South 0 2' East 4253.1 feet with the West line of a
County Road running along the East line of the Harris Survey
to a ROW monument;
THENCE South 49 24' West, 196 feet to a point in the North
ROW line of Highway Number 79;
THENCE North 81 34' West, 1182 feet with the ROW to an iron
stake at the Southeast corner of Eggers Acres;
THENCE North 0 0 6' East, 3741 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING,
said tract of land above described and herein conveyed contain-
ing 122.50 acres of land.
3.
That the property owners of the territory hereby annexed by the
City of Round Rock, Texas shall in all respects be on equal footing with
the property owners shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions
and regulations of the city of Round Rock.
4.
That if any section, subsection, word, sentence or pharse of this
ordinance is held invalid, it shall not affect the remaining part of
the remaining part of this ordinance.
5.
The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to file a
certified copy of this ordinance, together with a copy of such petition,
in the Office of the County Clerk of Williamson County, Texas.
6.
The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to cause a
copy of the ordinance to be published in the officially designated
newspaper as required by law.
