IN REPLY REFER TO
FILE NO.
Reference is made to your letter of April 13, 1972, requesting that
the City Limits sign on Ranch Road 620 be relocated to conform with the
new West City Limits of Round Rock. From your map the West City Limits
of Round Rock has not changed on the highway. You will note that your
North City Limits line coincides with the south right of way line of Ranch
Road 620.
On September 9, 1970, we furnished the City of Round Rock a Petition to
extend the City Limits westerly about 1149'. Apparently, no action was
ever taken on this Petition. For your ready reference we are attaching
a copy of that Petition together with a map showing the limits of that
Petition. Also attached is a new Petition which we have indicated as
Petition No. 2 which would extend the City Limits from the western point
of Petition No. 1 to the West City Limits line at the south edge of
Ranch Road 620.
If you did act on Petition No. 1 then the City Council will only have
to act on Petition No. 2. If you did not act on Petition No. 1 then
both Petition No. 1 and Petition No. 2 can be acted upon at the same
time since the total distance involved is less than one -half mile.
Scerely yours
