Secretary, Laura Bemis ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, ON THE 2ND DAY OF OCTOBER, 1969 AMENDING THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP, AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO CHANGE 8.99 ACRES OUT OF THE JACOB M. HARRELL LEAGUE SURVEY, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS DESCRIBED BELOW, FROM "R -1" SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL TO "I -1" LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT, AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council for the purpose of changing the zoning ordinance on the following descibed real estate; BEING 8.99 acres of land out of the Jacob M. Harrell League Survey in Williamson County, Texas, and being a part of that 92.56 acre tract of land conveyed to Ralph T. Sweet, Travis Weathers, and Isom H. Hale by Celia Neuman, Individually and as Independent Executrix of the Estate of Ben Neuman, as recorded in Vol. 535 , Page 216 , of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at an iron stake at a large live oak tree at the southwest corner of a school tract as recorded in Volume 281, Page 115 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, said southwest corner of the school tract being also the northwest corner of the tract here being described; THENCE N 46° 36' E a distance of 229.72 feet along the south line of said school tract; THENCE S 19° 39' E 59.83 feet; THENCE N 47° 14' E, 197.72 feet; THENCE S 19° 12' E, 75.00 feet; THENCE N 47° 14' E, 100.00 feet; THENCE N 19 12' W, 75.00 feet; THENCE N 47 14' E, 45.39 feet; THENCE S 19 12' E, 95.00 feet; THENCE N 47° 14' E, 75.00 feet to a point in the west right -of -way line of Interstate Highway 35; line; THENCE S 19 37' E, 521.18 feet along said right -of -way THENCE S 69 30' W, 87.41 feet; THENCE S 32° 46' W, 589.40 feet; THENCE N 57 14' W, 84.19 feet to an iron stake at an angle point in a fence line; THENCE N 18° 41' W along said fence line a distance of 713.50 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. AND WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning Commission for its recommendation and report; and WHEREAS the City Planning Commission has approved the changing of said Zoning Ordinance on the above described property from "R -1 ", Single Family Residential, to "I -1 ", Light Industrial District, which said meeting was held on Thursday the 12th day of. October, 1972; and WHEREAS the City Planning Commission approved the change aforesaid in the Zoning Ordinance; said approval being given by said commission on the 12th day of October, 1972; and NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Round Rock, that the Zoning Ordinance, and the Zoning Map of the City of Round Rock, be amended so that the property described above shall be and the same is hereby removed from "R -1" Single Family Residential to "I -1" Light Industrial District. The enactment of this Ordinance being necessary to the immediate preservation of public business and to provide for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, it is declared to be an emergency measure, which shall have and take effect following its present reading and adoption.
